Methods is done! And now that it's complete, I can begin the process of fixing bugs, revising it, and then launching it on Steam.
But with Methods done, it's time to focus on my other projects again — and this time, I promise there isn't some new project about to spring out of the woodwork, derail my plans, and take everyone by surprise.
The rest of 2020 will be spent working on two projects which have been in development a very long time: Pageturner 3 and The Evolving Wo
It's been a while — more than two years — since I first made this comic, but now it's finally on Scratch, along with a new image of Nihility and a music track I composed just for this release. I also included Nihility's origin comic as a bonus. Now all of the LockedOn comics are available to read on Scratch, which is pretty great. Right now I'm hard at work on four different LockedOn/LockedOff projects, alternating between them throughout the day. This approach actually helps
The Evolving World: Catalyst Wake's trailer was just released! You can watch it by clicking the image above! Well, it's been an eventful week. Rendering out the first shot of this trailer took about four days. I know, anyone who works in CGI is rolling their eyes at how short that is, but for me, with no render farm and only one computer, it was tough. Anyway, this trailer is the first real look at the Blocks, which are being introduced in this reboot/retcon. There's a lot of
The new update's out! Click the image above for more! I should also mention in this post that I released a deleted scene from TEWP4 on my YouTube page. You can watch it here: Bet that was a surprise, huh? Unfortunately, I didn't cut anything else, so there aren't going to be any more of these videos in the future, at least for Part 4. I do have some footage of animatics created for TEWP4, though, so I might do a side-by-side. What's the point, though, since the animatics look
This is just a quick update to bring you up to speed on what's going on in the world of LockedOn. I know barely anyone reads this blog, so I'll probably repeat some of this information in my next update. So, I've been working on The Evolving World: Catalyst Wake and WOW am I happy with how fast it's going. Not having to animate these scenes makes everything so much easier! I'm already mostly done with the first story. It's a really important one that involves the crux of Oliv
The new update covers a lot of ground, showing some of the process of making the new episode, and a few exciting announcements, one of them being Catalyst Wake, a visual novel that will replace the planned comics PREQUELS and SEQUELS in lieu of a more interactive story. Check out the new Catalyst Wake page to see more! -- LockedOn. #gamesupdate #theevolvingworld #catalystwake
You have no idea how good it feels to finally say that! Anyway, my work is still not done. Though the animation is indeed complete, the story's not over yet. In fact, the most exciting part has yet to come... More details will be available soon through a new update! -- LockedOn. #theevolvingworld #part4 #release
There have been times in the past two years of working on this project, where I thought I might never get to say that, but it's true. I've finally completed all the animation on TEWP4. That means I can finally finish up the music and sound effects, right? Well... not quite yet, unfortunately. My older computer, the one Ive been using for all my audio work, is being extremely flaky, and that means I'm going to have to upgrade from using GarageBand to using Logic Pro. I'm not s
Yes, it's true. After years of procrastinating, I'm finally working on The Evolving World Part 4 again. I think what was stopping was the script I'd written for the episode. I'd written it a long time ago, and it lacked the dramatic weight I wanted from it. However, I've rewritten the ending completely, (and worked in a few cameos from characters in the comics!), and I think it's much better now. This has motivated me to finally get around to it. Hopefully, it'll be able to c
