As you may have guessed, the "something else" I said I was working on last update was The Illusion Murders. I was actually creating sprites and music and refining the plot for it since January. By the time July 1st rolled around I'd written the five chapters, and finished all the sprites, so the bulk of the work was backgrounds and actually implementing everything.
It was interesting to briefly go from Catalyst Wake back to Methods, as when I was making Methods, I didn't have an iPad and drew the sprites and stuff on paper. The iPad allowed me to easily create more costume changes for the characters, and my experience making CGs using 3D models on Catalyst Wake helped me do the same for The Illusion Murders.
It's another example of how every project you make informs the other ones.
Anyway, this past week I was busy with implementing the Chinese translation for The Illusion Murders, and the release, as well as life stuff. But I was able to complete 30 of the 60 CGs needed for the current scene. It won't be long until Summit's CGs are done, because this is the penultimate scene. Now that I've recovered from all the work I did on the presentation and The Illusion Murders, I should be able to return to earlier productivity levels.
Until next time!
