You may have been wondering why the Pageturner 3 updates stopped. Sorry about that — I've meant to write this post for about a week, but I keep getting sidetracked.
Basically what happened is that I've had to put Pageturner 3 on the back-burner a bit as I prioritize two other projects. So the first two weeks of August, development on the game was at a standstill. The good news is that, after the last update, the most difficult scenes are behind me.
My hope is to set aside one week for a very intense Pageturner 3 development session, where it's all I do the whole week. That should be enough to finish all of the scenes.
That "Pageturner Week" will be the last week of August, and I'll be posting short daily updates the whole week.
Because these two other projects are collaborations, they take priority for now. It is still possible I will be able to meet my "end of October" goal.
I'm also going to spend some time today writing, and implementing Scene 11. There are actually only five more scenes to implement, and they will be pretty easy.
The goal is to finish all of those scenes before October, and then October can be about implementing the node game, making the interrogation game, and adding secrets, testing the game, and polishing it.
I'm very committed to finally finishing Pageturner 3, and I'm reasonably confident that I can do it before the end of October — but like I said, I suddenly have two other projects to work on as well! Both of those projects are pretty exciting, and I can't wait to announce them.
Until then!
— LockedOn.
